I first heard Simon Partridge‘s voice at a wedding I shot a couple of years ago. I loved his style and his sound, and I went home to my then husband-to-be and said we must have him sing at our own wedding, he would be perfect! He did sing at our own wedding (last May), and he was indeed perfect – his vintage repertoire was the most wonderful atmospheric accompaniment to our little garden party wedding, and everyone loved it. I never thought I would get my husband to have a ‘first dance’ but it was just spontaneous – you couldn’t help but dance to Simon’s tunes. Everyone else joined in too – the dancing is one of my favourite memories of our wedding. Simon added something really special to our day and made it complete. So it was a huge honour when Simon asked me to take some portfolio photographs for him earlier this year, at Swinfen Hall at Lichfield, Staffordshire. We had a lot of fun!
